A drink made from a mixture of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients, now usually wine or spirits mixed with water, fruit, spices, and sugar, and often served hot; (also occas.) a similar non-alcoholic drink.

Arrack punch was a popular concoction served in taverns. Arrack was a spirituous liquor distilled from the fermented sap of the coco-palm, or from rice and sugar, fermented with the coco-nut juice. It was often an ingredient in punch.
