Thomas Knox was a merchant in Bristol, England. In 1757 GW sent eight hogsheads of tobacco to Knox aboard the King of Prussia, for which he showed credit from Knox of £42.2.5 sterling. At the end of that year GW sent another 14 hogsheads of tobacco to Knox aboard the Nugent Only (see Ledger A, 16). GW also placed orders with Knox on several occasions, and the latter shipped various items to GW, including bowls, spices, tea, and plaid hose.
