Mrs. Jane Shaw received from GW’s weavers in 1767 “13½ yds stripd Cotton & Silk” for £1.7 (see Ledger A, 260). Jane died sometime before 9 Feb. 1769, when John Dalton (d. 1777), a merchant who had been a captain in the Fairfax County militia, paid GW the £1.7 that Jane had owed for the weaving (see Ledger A, 287).
