Thomas Dansie ran an ordinary and a ferry, both of which were located on the King William side of the Pamunkey River. GW often stopped at Dansie's ordinary when travelling between Mount Vernon and Williamsburg. In his ledgers GW sometimes refers to the ordinary as "Danzie's".
