George Lee (1736–1807), a planter of Prince Georges and Charles counties in Maryland, was a son of Philip Lee (c.1681–1744) of Prince Georges County. He was married to Chloe Hanson Lee (1743–c.1807), daughter of Samuel Hanson (1716–1794) of Charles County, Maryland.
On 13 July 1788, Lee paid GW £9.6.0 for the pasturage and breeding of his mares, which Lee attempted to breed to GW's jackass, Royal Gift (see Ledger B, 270). In early 1790, GW again received a payment from Lee for similar services (see Ledger B, 309).
