Line 18 - Two shillings sterling (2s. 6d. current money) per 100 acres was the amount of the annual quitrent due to Thomas, Lord Fairfax, proprietor of the Northern Neck. That rate on a total of 12,463 acres amounts to £15 11s.7d., as GW gives here. See also Memorandum List of Quitrents, c.May 1760, and n.1 to that document.
