Rock Hall is on the Chesapeake Bay in Kent County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. GW passed through there in April and May 1784, on his travel to, and return from, Philadelphia, where he attended the first general meeting of the Society of the Cincinnati (see Ledger B, 197-98)
