Thomas Monroe of Fairfax County, Va., owed GW 13 shillings, 9 pence in the fall of 1767 for weaving. Monroe got 16 yards of striped cotton. Monroe submitted a cash payment in the amount of 10 shillings, but failed to pay the remaining 3 shillings, 9 pence (see Ledger A, 254).
