George Steptoe Washington (c.1773 - 1809) was the son of Samuel Washington and his fourth wife Anne Steptoe Washington, and the brother of Lawrence Augustine Washington. George Washington helped to care for the boys after the death of his brother Samuel. He advanced considerable sums (according to his will “near five thousand dollars over and above the sums furnished by their Estate”) for the education of both boys, first at academies in Georgetown and Alexandria and later at the University of Pennsylvania.
The manager of George Steptoe and Lawrence Augustine Washington's estate was Robert Carter.
