Foster, John

John Foster was the overseer of GW’s Dogue Run farm at Mount Vernon. As compensation for his services, GW allowed Foster a share of the crops he raised at Dogue Run (see Ledger A, 127). In December 1761, Foster received nineteen barrels of corn as his share of that crop raised in 1761 (see Ledger A, 142).
