Gerrard (Garrard) Bowling (Bolling), a merchant and planter in Fairfax County, Va., was an inspector of tobacco at one of the public warehouses in Fairfax County.
GW's account with Bowling shows that in 1762 and 1763 GW owed him £1.9.3 for inspecting a total of eleven hogsheads of tobacco while prizing three. On 16 March 1763, GW paid Bowling £1.10 (see Ledger A, 153).
