Line 7 - In a letter from Charles Washington to GW, which the latter docketed "Jany 1789," Charles noted that despite his difficulties in obtaining money from the estate of their brother, Samuel, which he had been administering, he was sending "45£ in Cu[rren]t Money" for the support of Samuel's sons, George Steptoe and Lawrence Augustine Washington.
