Line 10 - GW made his payment to Gibb Jackson, the skipper for Edward Pye Chamberlayne (1758-1806), whose vessel transported corn on several occasions to Mount Vernon from the Custis plantations on York River. GW had previously made a payment to Chamberlayne in the amount of £20 on 8 May 1788 (see Ledger B, 265, and the credit side annotation there).
