William Wilson (died c.1823) was a native of Scotland. He came to the United States around 1777 and, with his brother James (1767–1805), was a partner in a merchant and shipping firm in Alexandria, Virginia. He was also involved with the Glasgow firm of Dunlop & Company. Wilson was a frequent visitor to Mount Vernon.
